UK help comes first. The directory keeps UK wheelchair and disabled-dog organisations at the front, with specialist local services included underneath.

Use it to look for wheelchair fitting, loan schemes, lower-cost equipment routes, amputee support, rehabilitation and community help. The listings are organised so owners can start with UK-wide support and then narrow down by the kind of help needed or by nation. If you are not sure where to begin, the Mobility Guide can help you work out the next practical step first.

Borrowing a dog wheelchair: what to ask

Tell the organisation your dog’s weight, the support needed and any measurements requested for its wheelchair make. Ask which sizes are available, who can help with fitting, and whether there is a deposit, delivery charge, loan period or return condition. A listing does not guarantee a free chair or current stock.
